Rise Up Coffee Roasters has been an independent small-batch coffee roaster and retailer since 2005, representing nearly 20 years of dedication to sustainable, Certified Organic and Fair Trade coffees. The company originated from founder Tim Cureton's transformative coffee experience while returning from Peace Corps service, which sparked his passion for exceptional coffee. Using a $16,000 business loan, Cureton and co-founder Abby West launched Rise Up Coffee as a pioneering coffee trailer in a small town of just over 1,000 residents, well before food trucks became mainstream. What began in a parking lot has evolved into a thriving enterprise featuring thirteen high-volume cafe locations across Maryland and Delaware, an active online store, and numerous wholesale partnerships with grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. The company has grown to employ over 300 dedicated team members, including Tim's lifelong friend and business partner Noah Kegley, who joined in 2010 and serves as Head Roaster. Rise Up Coffee has consistently earned recognition as "Maryland's Best Coffee" and has become a nationally recognized brand. Headquartered in Easton, Maryland, the company operates their roastery alongside their expanding retail presence. Their philosophy centers on honoring the farmers who grow their coffee, stating "The farmer who grew this coffee should receive the glory," while maintaining their commitment to time-honored artisanal coffee roasting techniques. The company's core values emphasize their independent status with the motto "Independent from day one, till we're done," and their dedication to community, with their slogan "Grown by friends.
