Panacea Coffee Company was founded in 2002 with the belief that people are good and that this goodness multiplies when people share what they know, love, and have to offer. The founders discovered their best ideas, biggest smiles, and warmest moments were shared around great cups of coffee, leading them to find their own "Panacea."
Located in Waynesville's Historic Frog Level district, the company operates from Warehouse 66, a building constructed between 1916 and 1924 that was formerly known as Boyd Wholesale Grocery. In summer 2001, the founders discovered this historic space and transformed it into their coffeehouse, cafe, and roastery, preserving many historical features that give the building its rustic nostalgia.
Panacea Coffee Company serves as a meeting place, celebrating place, and sharing place for the community. They select, roast, and brew specialty coffee from various regions including Africa, Central America, South America, and Asia and Pacific Islands. The company offers a range of services including wholesale coffee, a coffee club subscription service, and event rentals.
Their cafe features a back deck overlooking Richland Creek and operates every day from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. They offer freshly roasted coffee, espresso drinks, and food items for dine-in or takeout. The company's philosophy centers around providing "Good Coffee for Good People," believing that each cup offers the drinker a chance to find their own Panacea.
