Denim Coffee is a Pennsylvania specialty coffee roaster founded in 2011 by Matt and Kristin Ramsay in Shippensburg. The company's trademark and north star, "Make Better Coffee," reflects Matt's passion for roasting that began during his college days at Shippensburg University. Starting in a small 20x20 studio space, they initially served farmers markets and supplied other coffee shops. In 2016, Tony Diehl, a fellow Shippensburg University alumnus and entrepreneur, joined the team to help launch their first retail coffee shop in downtown Carlisle. He became co-owner in 2020. The company has since expanded to multiple locations across Central Pennsylvania including Chambersburg, Harrisburg (2 locations), Dickinson College, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster, and Carlisle. With growing retail and wholesale operations, Denim Coffee relocated to a former ice factory and fallout shelter in Chambersburg, which now serves as their headquarters and roasting facility. The addition of a new IMF Roaster in Summer 2023 has positioned them for continued growth. Proudly rooted in Central Pennsylvania, Denim Coffee embraces innovation and technology, from water filtration systems to advanced espresso equipment, while maintaining their craft approach to roasting. They've been featured in Susquehanna Style Magazine and continue their mission to make better coffee for their customers and wholesale partners.
