Over 12 years ago, his son purchased him his first Nesco Professional coffee roaster, while his wife contributed by buying a small coffee plant to grow in their North Carolina home. What started as home roasting gradually evolved into a serious hobby. After retiring and relocating to Arizona, the founder's wife encouraged him to pursue a meaningful hobby beyond fitness training. A pivotal moment came in August 2019 when they met Kelly Baker, owner of Golden Grounds LLC in Lebanon, Oregon. Kelly served them freshly brewed Guatemalan coffee that was so exceptional it inspired the official launch of ZeroDark30Coffee-Roaster.LLC as a commercial venture. The business operates as both a father and son Marine team, drawing from their extensive travels around the world and appreciation for quality coffee. Their mission centers on providing specialty coffee roasted with love and care, ensuring each customer receives beans that are freshly roasted specifically for their unique flavor preferences. All coffee orders are roasted fresh on the shop's premises and can be provided as whole beans or ground to customer specifications.
